Early Learning Center Curriculum

Our Educational Program is designed to stimulate and encourage your child. We use the A BEKA program from Pensacola Christian College. Our program consists of reading and math readiness, language experiences, Bible lessons and memory work, stories, health, environment and citizenship, physical education, arts and crafts, music, poetry, and other fine arts.

Reading, Phonics, & Language

Our primary resource for teaching children to read is
the A BEKA curriculum.  6 Easy Steps to Reading is an example of the steps we use to teach our students to read. It is a very successful, exciting method and is Christian based.  Language Development and listening skills are taught using 98 topics.

Math & Numbers

Number recognition and concepts are developed through manipulatives, games, and repetition.  Learning the number families is fun! You will be amazed at what your child will be able to do in mathematics by the time they leave preschool.

Enrichment classes such as arts and crafts, science, health, Spanish, computers, environment, and citizenship are an important aspect of the student’s learning experience. A diversity of resources is used for this purpose.  These classes help instill an imagination and hunger for continual learning throughout their lives.

Music & Poetry

We love music! We begin to teach children that music has a message. Songs are chosen for academic reinforcement, learning Biblical precepts, and fun songs and poetry encourage physical activity.

The Bible classes focus on God’s creation, God’s love for children, God’s Son – Jesus Christ, obeying God’s Word and obeying parents. Memorization of Bible verses teaches the children to hide God’s Word in their hearts. We hope to instill in children a desire to love God and a love for His Word.
